ABOUT
"What makes the night in us, can leave the stars in us" (Victor Hugo).
It is through a dark and mysterious universe that Julia Saludo's art is drawn. Like a Catharsis, she transcribes her inner world through a play of transparency, layers and fusion of elements that she photographs. Photography and photomontage will therefore be her way of communicating her interiority and her relationship to the world. The human body, the skeleton, the plant, the animal as well as the fossil are intertwined in her artistic compositions, in order to make light spring forth in the darkness, creating an atmosphere of "chiaroscuro". It is through a play of mirrors between poetic writing and graphic creations that she transcribes the themes that are dear to her: love, death and the complexity of life. Always marked by a particular attention to the reality that surrounds her, the seabed, flora and fauna sensitize her. Her openness to the outside world reminds us that her work is nothing other than a search for balance between the notion of interiority and the living that surrounds us. Merging the intimate with the existing in order to question the living is her inescapable quest. This is the passion that drives Julia Saludo, and this passion will remain the prolific beacon that lights up her night.
